For Adams County Sheriff
A proven leader committed to keeping Adams County safe, building community trust, and bringing accountability back to the Sheriff's Office.
Mark Goodell has dedicated more than three decades of his life to public safety and currently serves as Deputy Chief with one of Colorado's fastest-growing communities.
Throughout his career in law enforcement, Mark has served across nearly every division, Patrol, Detentions, Investigations, Traffic, and command-level roles, giving him a hands-on understanding of every aspect of a sheriff's operation. He leads by example and treats every resident with dignity and respect.
Mark isn't running for Adams County Sheriff because it's the next step on a career ladder; he's running because he believes Adams County deserves better.
He's seen what works, what doesn't, and what's been ignored for too long. Real public safety isn't just about response times and arrest numbers; it's about whether your neighbors feel safe walking to their cars at night, where families trust the people sworn to protect them, and whether the badge in this county actually means something.
Mark has spent years building the experience to lead, but more importantly, he's never lost the conviction to do things right, even when it's uncomfortable. He's not interested in protecting the way things have always been done. He's interested in results.
Adams County is worth fighting for. Mark is ready to do exactly that.
"Safe communities aren't built on enforcement alone — they're built on trust, relationships, and a commitment to treating every resident with dignity."
Focused on the issues that matter most to the residents, families, and businesses of Adams County.
Mark will work to reduce violent crime and property crime by deploying proven, data-driven policing strategies while ensuring deputies have the training and resources they need to protect every resident.
Trust is earned in the neighborhoods we serve. Mark will expand community outreach programs, bring regular town halls to every part of the county, and ensure every neighborhood has a voice in public safety decisions.
Adams County residents deserve a Sheriff's Office that operates with integrity. Mark will implement clear policies, and regular public reporting, because accountability builds trust.
Too many mental health crises are handled without the right resources. Mark will expand co-responder programs with trained professionals and strengthen detention-based mental health services, so every call and every person in custody gets the appropriate response.
